ATG's DEIB-informed leadership course to transform mid-career faculty and key staff into leaders who center intention, inclusivity, and integration in their leadership style

COURSE STRUCTURE

  • Context-based active learning
     

  • ​Pod meetings and accompanying workbook material between sessions
     

  • Two or more ATG facilitators with relevant expertise for each session
     

  • Interstitial work between sessions, such as reflective writing, pod discussions of assigned material (text or video), and an individual meeting with facilitator 
     

  • Leadership capstone project

INTRODUCTION TO LEADERSHIP
Systems and context
March 18 & 19, noon to 4 p.m. EST

Participants explore the meaning of leadership, the concept of leading a system, and the impact of self-awareness and self-management on the system they lead.

INTENTIONAL LEADERSHIP
Values and vision
April 15, noon to 4 p.m. EST

Participants learn the roles of a leader in setting the vision and tone and understand the foundations from which they lead.
