Service Description

Do you sometimes struggle with the complexities of managing a research project? Beyond the needs of the research itself, even if you drafted ironclad plans with well-crafted timelines, sometimes unexpected things happen that throw everything into chaos, threatening the research goals or even the grant itself. Although Agile is not a panacea for project management, it does provide a suite of tools and habits that can protect you, your team, and your project from the kind of miscommunication, churn, and wasted time that can further derail a difficult situation. In this 4-hour workshop, Anne Maglia, certified Project Management Professional of UMASS Lowell and and Jet LeBlanc, ATG’s Agile coach, partner to take you on a journey through a spectacularly bad and all too realistic scenario. They will show you how to cope with major disruption in an established project by exercising the necessary skills to respond rather than react. You’ll have to opportunity to practice skills in two major areas of Agile: predicting, mitigating, and handling change, and communicating more effectively throughout the process. The first iteration of this workshop is being offered at a 50% discount for $200.
