Amanda Welch (she/her) earned a PhD from the University of Florida, and combines her passion for science and writing to assist researchers in clearly communicating their scholarly work. During her postdoctoral fellowship in molecular physiology at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, she began assisting junior faculty members in grantsmanship and writing during and discovered that she could take this fulfilling experience and make it a full-time career.
Amanda directs ATG’s proposal development work, providing both the mentored individual proposal development program and leading the teams supporting complex, high-value proposals. Amanda also leads or co-leads grant training seminars, consistently ranked 5/5 both for content and presentation. She created and leads the scientific manuscript development training designed so that trainees complete the course with a full draft of a publication. Clients and colleagues appreciate Amanda’s interest in using new technological solutions to increase engagement during virtual seminars and her calm nature under pressure.
