WHAT WE OFFER
Services can be combined to meet your needs. For example, work on a high-value proposal can begin with research leadership training, or we can provide your faculty with follow-up work after full-day seminar with group or individual proposal coaching. ATG has a flexible and "open source" approach. With our consultants and network of affiliates, we have the resources to meet your needs for research development in any discipline, whether building from scratch or fine tuning.
Planning and Writing Successful Grant Proposals. In-person or virtual sessions combine lecture format and engagement activities, and are customized based on your needs and the breadth of potential funding targets. Our training days are designed to convey the fundamentals of proposal writing--concepts backed up with concrete tips and operational strategies--while also providing tools for planning and longer-term sustainability.
Half and full-day workshops that can be tailored to the needs of your institution. We focus on practical aspects of each topic, ensuring that your cohort leaves with targeted knowledge and immediately useful tools.

Moving to the next level in a research career often requires skills that are not taught as part of research training. We use proven leadership development approaches modified for the academic research environment in an eight-week, small-group program.
Direct critique, support, and coaching to help individuals or small teams develop a competitive grant application. This program takes 4-6 months total, and includes both written critiques, direct editorial suggestions, and face-to-face (in-person or videoconference) discussions.
We have extensive hands-on experience helping groups meet the complex requirements of large center proposals. We can help you throughout the process, depending on your needs: idea formation, team-building stages, nuts-and-bolt plans and tools, writing and editing.
